TASTING NOTES
Our reserve Zinfandel, and definitely a "wine to die for". Each year we go through our best lots of Zinfandel and hand select the barrels that will make up the Poizin blend. In 2006, as always we chose some beautiful wines, from our Maple Vineyard Zinfandel, Tre Torrente Vineyard Zinfandel, and Petite Sirah from our own Estate Vineyard. This particular blend has a lot of dark fruit up front. Aromas of blackberry, plum and cassis jump out of the glass. The Petite Sirah adds structure and color, and gives this wine a lot of body. The oak flavors of vanilla and brown spice are integrating well with the lush fruit flavors.
